HIROTARY is officially live: the name blends the two things that spin the most in my life — Hiro, my Shiba Inu, and the FD's rotary.

What will you find here?

  • The build log: everything I do to the FD, with photos, costs and screw-ups included.
  • The full story: how I brought it from Japan to Buenos Aires, chapter by chapter, in this post.
  • Stickers: original designs of the FD, the rotor and Hiro, in the shop.

Why a blog and not just Instagram?

Instagram is the day-to-day, but long stories get lost there. Here everything gets documented: the torque specs I figured out along the way, the parts that took three months to arrive, the real numbers of what it costs to keep a 13B running in Argentina.

If you're restoring or importing a rotary, this blog wants to be the post I wish I'd found.

Talk soon. And if you want the day-to-day, we're at @hirotary.rx7.
