Where the name comes from

Hiro is the family Shiba Inu and official co-pilot. Rotary is the RX-7's Wankel engine. Put them together: HIROTARY. And yes: Hiroshima, home of Mazda, starts with Hiro too.

The car

A right-hand-drive 1992 Mazda RX-7 FD3S with a 13B-REW rotary engine, built in Japan by Pro Shop Fukuoh (Yokkaichi, Mie) and dressed in the FEED Afflux GT3 kit. It crossed the world to drive in Buenos Aires; the full import story is on the blog.

What we sell

Vinyl stickers with original rotary, JDM and project designs: the in-house ones (HIROTARY Originals) and collaborations, like the rotary series made with SEED (@seed.dsg). Posters and t-shirts are in the works and get announced on Instagram first.

Rotary Culture

The Wankel engine has no pistons, valves or connecting rods: a triangular rotor spins eccentrically inside a housing and handles intake, compression, combustion and exhaust in a single turn. Mazda made it famous with cars like the RX-7, and its sound (the brap brap) has fans all over the world. That's the culture HIROTARY's designs celebrate.

What makes it different

The designs come from a real car and a real dog, not a stock image library. You don't need an RX-7 to wear one: you just need to love car culture.

Where we are

Buenos Aires City (CABA), Argentina. We don't have a storefront: in CABA we agree on a meeting point, and we ship across the rest of Argentina with shipping paid by the buyer.
